JOIN US
Woodford and Wanstead Photographic Society welcomes all those with a passion for photography; amateur or professional, acknowledged artist or enthusiastic novice. We have a wide variety of photographic skills and levels and everyone is willing to share their knowledge and also learn from others.
Although we have been working hard to put “Lockdown” fully behind us, we still have pre-booked zoom sessions for both “Presentation Talks” and "Projected Digital Image (PDI) Competitions” which had to be booked over a year in advance. However, moving into the New Club Year, we have reintroduced “Print Competitions”, which take place in person at Wanstead House, along with Talks delivered by local presenters.
The Club will still be committed to adhering to any Government guidelines or recommendations on Covid Restrictions and Social Distancing should they become applicable again, but the future aim is to be a Photographic Club that meets in person.
Members and visitors wishing to join a Zoom session will be emailed during the day with an invitation to join that evening’s session at around 19:30. Formal proceedings will commence promptly at 19:45. Members and known visitors will also be kept informed about Practical and Social evenings via our WhatsApp Group (or email for known visitors).
The WWPS committee is working to provide members with the best content it can. Please be aware that advertised events can be subject to change or cancellation. Where possible an alternative will be provided should this situation arise.
If you are not a current paid-up member and would like to join us, we are offering you the chance to attend three meetings for free. We would recommend that you choose varied nights, if possible, in order to experience a cross-section of our activities. Please understand that you will need to provide WWPS with an email address that we will keep on record and use to contact you. Information that you provide will be protected within our GDPR policy. We do not share your information with third parties.
We also offer new visitors/potential members a short one-to-one Zoom Session with our Membership Secretary, Jim Williams. He will be able to give you a quick run-down on how the Club operates and it will give you the opportunity to ask him anything you would like to know about the club.
